Jewels for the Hall is a series of site-specific sculptural installations made for Goldsmiths’ Hall. Each work is unique and responds to particular spaces, ideas or materials within the building.
As an Artist Jeweller Ella Fearon-Low creates work, often brooches, that she considers to be like miniature sculptures. For Jewels for the Hall Ella has flipped that idea to make several sculptural installations that will act as ‘jewellery’ for the Hall during the two weeks of Goldsmiths’ Fair 2025, decorating and adorning this imposing building with visual artworks.

INTERWOVEN: Jewellery Meets Textiles
INTERWOVEN: Jewellery Meets Textiles is a Goldsmiths’ Centre exhibition for Goldsmiths’ Fair that explores the relationship between contemporary jewellery and textiles, through the work of over thirty jewellers, made in the last forty years.
The interconnection of jewellery and textiles has a long history. Both crafts have an intimate relationship to the body and personal expression. But what is the nature of the bond today? Looking from the perspective of the jeweller, the exhibition asks – how and why are makers looking to textiles as they design?

Marks of deception: tackling fakes & forgeries in antique British silver
Hallmarking is one of the world's oldest forms of consumer protection – a guarantee to those buying and selling items made of precious metals that they have been expertly tested, and that the marks they bear truthfully reveal their composition – a proud responsibility of the Goldsmiths’ Company since 1327.
But where you have systems designed to protect buyers and sellers, you will also find those intent on acts of deception - cunning artificers, who create fakes and forgeries, not just of the objects, but of the hallmarks themselves.
Explore the world of fakes and forgeries in antique British Silver, and get hands-on experience with objects from the London Assay Office’s Fakes & Forgeries Collection under the expert guidance of GHAC members.
