During London Craft Week (11 – 17 May 2026), a city-wide celebration of outstanding creativity, the Goldsmiths’ Centre in Farringdon will present Box of Dreams, a unique jewellery and silversmith-led pop-up exhibition running from 14 to 15 May 2026. Curated by artist-jewellers Ella Fearon-Low and Jed Green, the free show will feature the work of leading UK craftspeople, brought together to explore how boxes and vessels can carry meaning beyond their physical function.
At the heart of the pop-up, a specially curated display will explore both the conceptual and literal interpretations of containment. By combining precious and non-precious materials, it will highlight the relationship between material, form, and meaning, showing how traditional craft techniques continue to evolve through experimentation and storytelling.
“Through this exhibition, we wanted to explore how something as simple as a box can hold layers of meaning, from the materials used to the stories they tell. It’s a celebration of both craft and imagination, and how these two come together in contemporary making.”
Visitors will encounter a range of objects – including vessels, brooches, boxes, and rings – all available for purchase, created by contemporary makers Morvarid Alavifard, Ane Christensen, Ella Fearon-Low, Jed Green, Jo McAllister, Caitlin Murphy, Francisca Onumah, Elsa Tierney, Sarah Pulvertaft, Inca Starzinsky, Amanda and Matt Caines, Ash & Plumb, Amy Cushing, Richard McVetis, Jo Pond and Carola Solcia. Working across jewellery, silversmithing, wood, textiles, and glass, these artists showcase the diversity and innovation of contemporary craft today.

On Friday 15 May 2026, visitors can learn more about the exhibition and the makers through a curator-led tour with Ella Fearon-Low and Jed Green. Taking place from 11am to 12pm, the tour will explore the ideas behind the exhibition and examine how the theme of containment unfolds across the works on display.
