The Chalice Maker's Tale, by internationally renowned master silversmith Michael Lloyd, is a beautifully illustrated and philosophical reflection on the maker's life, his process, and a love of the natural world which underpins his work. Michael tells a story that takes us from the collaborative relationship with a patron, through to the deeply reflective practice of hand-drawn design and the ‘conversational’ shaping of metal to produce a chalice; an emotionally charged and meaningful vessel that goes beyond practical function.
A proportion of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to two charities of Michael's choice, with Friends of Friendless Churches, and Smile Train receiving £2.50 each for every copy sold.
