Trend forecaster and jewellery expert Kathryn Bishop, and Bella Neyman, founder of NYC Jewelry Week (NYCJW), open this year’s Goldsmiths’ Fair with a conversation exploring new directions in jewellery through the lens of materials, culture, emerging technologies, and marketing. Their talk will examine the nuance between the UK and US jewellery markets, shifting channels of influence, and fresh opportunity spaces for jewellers and metalsmiths.
Tickets are priced at £10 per person and include light refreshments.

About the speakers
Kathryn Bishop is a researcher and editor with two decades of experience working in the jewellery industry as a magazine editor, brand consultant, and trend forecaster. Since 2016, she has worked in strategic foresight for organisations including The Future Laboratory and Adorn Insight, specialising in consumer research and futures strategy for luxury and retail brands. She has presented trend keynotes to global audiences at events including Cannes Lions, The Walpole Luxury Summit, and Business of Fashion. Her research has been featured in global media including The Guardian, Stylist, Raconteur, and Vogue Business.
Bella Neyman is founder of NYC Jewelry Week, and an independent curator and journalist specialising in contemporary jewellery. Most recently she served on the Curatorial Advisory Committee for 45 Stories in Jewelry: 1947 to Now at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York. Bella’s articles have been published in The New York Times, American Craft, and Metalsmith magazine. Bella lectures on topics related to the history of jewellery and is on the board of Art Jewelry Forum.

Tickets must be booked in the name of the person who is attending - photo ID that matches the name on the booking will be required to gain entry.
Tickets do not provide access to Goldsmiths’ Fair.
Security & bag policy
Goldsmiths’ Hall operates Airport style enhanced security procedures for all public events - these include a bag scanner and a security arch. Suitcases and items larger than a laptop bag are not permitted inside the building. Our cloakroom, situated downstairs, can be used free of charge for coats, bags and umbrellas.
Disabled access to Goldsmiths’ Hall
The main entrance to Goldsmiths’ Hall is on Foster Lane and may not be suitable for visitors who require step-free access. Those who are require level access from street level should ring the bell on Carey Lane, for assistance and access by lift. The Exhibition Room is on the first floor, and can be accessed by lift from within the ground floor lobby.
