London Assay Office service update: 27 February, 17:00

On Friday we updated London Assay Office customers about an issue with one of our IT systems that was affecting our ability to accept or to post out packets and access to the London Assay Office website and emails.

The London Assay Office team have continued to work through all of the packets in our possession, and our IT team have been working hard to resolve the IT issue. We understand this has been a frustrating experience, and apologise for any inconvenience caused to you and your business.

Tomorrow (Wednesday 28 February) we will begin posting out completed packets, and will be open to accept new packets at the Greville Street and Goldsmiths' Hall counters for next day and standard hall services. We are not currently accepting packets for a one-hour service.

At this time, it is not possible to submit a Hallnote online, so before bringing your work to a counter, or posting it to Goldsmiths' Hall, please download, complete and print a paper Hallnote.

If you have received notification that your packet is complete, you can collect it from the appropriate counter during our normal opening hours. Please remember that you must show your ticket receipt for your packet to be released.

We are still working to resolve some issues with our IT systems, and at this time, we cannot provide updates about specific packets. All packets in our possession remain safe and secure.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, your business is important to us, we will be providing a further update in the coming days.
