CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) – Goldsmiths’ Company: latest update

Last updated, Tuesday 24 March 2020:

The Goldsmiths’ Company remains open for business. However, the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, members, partners and all guests and visitors to Goldsmiths’ Hall is of utmost importance to us, and we have postponed or cancelled all public events and non-essential internal meetings due to take place at the Hall to 20 April 2020. The latest information on our public events programme is available below, and will be kept regularly updated.

Since the onset of the crisis, we have taken steps to keep the Assay Office sites open for as long as is safely possible. However, considering the recent Government announcement, we have taken the difficult but necessary decision to close our Assay Office across all sites (Goldsmiths’ Hall, Greville Street and Heathrow). Customers can read more about the closure here.

All staff who can work from home are now working from home: we are all available by phone, email and online conference. So please don’t hesitate to contact us.

If you have booked the Hall for an event, our Hall Team are available to support you and to look at options.

Our website is the best place to find the most up-to-date information about what’s happening at the Goldsmiths’ Company during this unprecedented time. You can also follow us on social media –
