CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) – Goldsmiths’ Company: latest update
Last updated, Tuesday 23 June 2020:
Throughout the pandemic, the Goldsmiths’ Company has remained open for business with most staff working from home and only essential personnel working onsite within strict health and safety guidelines. A huge thank you to our security and maintenance teams who have been present at Goldsmiths’ Hall, the Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office and the Goldsmiths’ Centre.
As part of our Return to Work Strategy we have recently taken steps to gradually re-staff some of our onsite operations, following guidance from the government and the Health and Safety Executive, to ensure we are a ‘COVID-secure’ workplace. The health, safety and wellbeing of our staff and visitors will remain our number one priority as the nature of the crisis continues to evolve.
With this in mind, the Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office is now open for business, but with a limited service and opening hours. More information is available here.
Goldsmiths’ Hall remains closed to visitors. Non-essential meetings and all public events have been cancelled until August 1. This will remain under review and any changes will be made in line with the latest government advice.
If you have booked the Hall for an event, our Hall Team are available to support you and to look at options.
