New Designers Exhibition
Every year, the Goldsmiths' Company financially supports the Metalwork & Jewellery Zone at the New Designers Exhibition in London.
In addition, college bursaries are offered to each college that exhibits within the zone as well as a few outside this area.
New Designers Awards for Silversmithing & Jewellery
Criteria
The Goldsmiths' Company Awards at New Designers are to encourage promising UK graduates to create the leading businesses of the future.
The Jewellery Award
A prize is awarded to a jewellery piece or collection in precious metals that demonstrates excellence in craft skill, technical ability and production potential and will comprise:
- £1000 cash prize
- £500 worth of precious metal voucher
- A place on the annual graduate business course Getting Started
- Registration for 10 years at the Goldsmiths’ Company Assay Office London, to include a sponsor’s punch and £100 worth of Hallmarking services
The Silversmithing Award
A prize of will be awarded to a silversmithing piece in that demonstrates excellence in craft skill, technical ability and production potential and will comprise:
