The Company organises a range of competitions and awards to support the industry.

Precious Metal Bursary Competition

Precious Metal Bursary Competition winnersOur Precious Metal Bursary is a national competition for final year students at UK colleges and universities studying Goldsmithing, Jewellery, Silverware at HND, Foundation degree or BA degree level to help them work in precious metals.

Prize:

  • £500 of precious metal
  • Personalised Award Certificate
  • Award Winner’s display card for exhibiting at degree shows

Young Designer Silversmith

An annual design competition open to full-time students under 30 in the UK. This is run through our Curatorial Department and began in 1994 to give an opportunity to a young person to become a successful contemporary studio silversmith.

The annual goldsmiths' Craftsmanship & Design AWARDS

New Designers AwardThis annual competition is open to anyone in the UK involved in Silversmithing, Jewellery and the Allied Crafts.

The Awards are organised by the Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council with a range of partner organisations as part of its ongoing programme to promote excellence within the Trade.

As well as the individual award categories, the awards offer the Gil Packard Post Graduate Bursary (£1,000) and two Gem-A Diamond Scholarships.
