What is a Master?

A Goldsmiths’ Company Master toolmaker & ApprenticePassing on your skills to a young person is one of the most rewarding things you can do in your career.

An apprentice master is the craftsman or woman who provides the hands-on training and mentoring throughout an apprentice's term.

How do I become a master?

If you are a Freeman of the Goldsmiths' Company and based in London or the South East, you are potentially eligible for financial support if you employ an Apprentice in your workshop.
