With a background in silversmithing, fashion jewellery design, CAD and research, Karin takes the lead on departmental research activities, links to colleges, graduates and the designer-maker community. He edited Gold Technology magazine and has conducted seminars on gold jewellery technology worldwide. He has been involved with the precious metals industry for 26 years. Mark has been a consultant to the Goldsmiths' Company since 1987 and the World Gold Council and provides vital technical expertise on metallurgical and manufacturing matters relating to the precious metals.
