The Goldsmiths' Company works in partnership with a wide range of academic and industrial partners. Support includes access to resources and revenue funding, organisation and participation in joint projects and initiatives, and other relevant activities.

These include the annual sponsorship of the New Designers Exhibition's Jewellery, Silversmithing and Metalwork Zone which showcases emerging talent from UK precious metal courses.

Industrial Partnerships

Also of major importance is The Goldsmiths' involvement in the National Jewellery Steering Group (NJSG). Established in September 2002 in response to the DTI Competitiveness Analysis of the UK jewellery and allied trades, the NJSG brings together almost all of the UK's major trade associations and organisations providing an ever-growing, cross-sectoral forum which has already identified a number of headline themes which need to be addressed if the UK industry is to maintain and improve its competitiveness in a global context.
