Julian Cross began his creative career as a wildlife and landscape painter following his natural artistic abilities. Forty years later his skills now span across the disciplines of Art, Sculpture and Silver & Goldsmithing.
The quality of this work has been recognised by the Goldsmiths' Craftsmanship and Design Council with two 1st Gold Awards, two Silver Awards and several other Design Council commendations. He has been granted prestigious commissions by organisations such as The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths' and The Silver Trust.
Julian often works in collaboration with other highly skilled Silver and Goldsmiths and his work is collected at home and abroad. He has provided hundreds of pieces of work for both Asprey and Garrard the Crown Jewellers of Bond Street, for substantial and important works of art for our Royal Household and many other VIP clients including The Sultan of Brunei.
Julian is a fellow of The Institute of Professional Goldsmiths, FIPG, a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths and also a Freeman of The City of London.
An acute awareness of the beauty of nature, essentially figurative but equally imaginative, along with great attention to detail, are the hallmarks that appear throughout the work of Julian Cross.
