The unique factor about J A Campbell Silversmiths is that we are one of the few companies in England using traditional sterling silversmith methods.
In the early days of the company Master Silversmith John Campbell, founder of the business, worked from a shed in his parents garden, before moving to workshops in Clerkenwell and as the business grew then to Shoreditch.
J A Campbell now carries on the traditions of this craft of luxury silverware making from our workshop in the leafy green outskirts of Brentwood, Essex. Here a small team of craftsmen handspin, cast, solder and burnish sterling silverware under the watchful eye of John Campbell. It is still a small family business whose commitment to quality sets it aside from others. Nothing leaves the workshop until John is completely satisfied. Everything is made up to a quality not down to a price.
An example of the craftsmanship and painstaking attention to detail is the handle of the best selling Silver & Crystal Chalice claret jug. This handle goes through 21 individual hand worked operations over many hours. The complete item takes many more hours to complete the final distinctive design.
Each of our silverware items are individually produced by hand and unique, a treasure that will be used, loved and looked after by generations to come.
Silver can and will enhance your lifestyle. Used every day from breakfast to evening there is something to suit every occasion .
