Friday May 31 to Saturday July 20
Monday to Saturday 10.00am to 5.00pm

This dazzling exhibition demonstrates one man’s passion for exquisite bejewelled vanity boxes, nécessaires, minaudières and compacts. These luxurious, beautifully crafted accessories were made by famous goldsmiths and jewellers and hark back to days of by-gone elegance and indulgence.
More than 200 pieces dating from the 1920s through to the 1970s will be on display including examples by leading jewellery houses such as Cartier, Boucheron, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Chaumet. Aside from being stunning objets d’art, made from precious materials, the boxes are also miracles of miniature engineering and reflect the social and design history of the times.
