Images

The Library holds over 15,000 images on subjects relating to precious metalwork, jewellery, hallmarking and the Goldsmiths’ Company. The most significant part of the image collection illustrates the work of 20th and 21st century British jewellers and silversmiths, but topics such as the Company’s fine art collection, antique silver, techniques and workshops are also covered.

The images come in a wide variety of media, including glass negatives, photographs, slides and digital files, all of which can be viewed in the Library. Please contact us for information on a particular subject, to obtain an image for research, or to licence an image for publication.
